Albett EienstienAlbert Einstein said “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” Napoleon is quoted as saying, “Imagination rules the world.” Joe Dispenza, a spiritual teacher, author, and master of the laws of the mind was hit by a truck while competing in a triathlon. He broke six vertebras and healed himself simply by using his imagination. OMG.

With Imagination you can do, have, and be anything you desire. When you stop to think about it, everything starts and came from imagination. Some caveman or cavewoman must have seen lighting strike the ground and cause a fire and imagined recreating it. Then there was fire. Someone may have tossed a trashcan lid, and then imagined the Frisbee. Walt Disney said “If you can dream it, you can be it.” A dream begins with imagination.LukeSign_18x24_Tag1_preview

If you can dream it to be it, why not dream your dream home? Just imagine what it looks like. Imagine how it feels to live there. See yourself picking up the keys and having a move in party. See who is there and hear them congratulating you on your new home that is perfect for you.

Like Einstein said, “imagination is more important than knowledge.” When you imagine whatever it is you want, including your dream home, know that if you can dream it, you can have it.

Call a Friend

Like the game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, it is a great idea to call a friend. Today I was feeling low frustrated and a bit hopeless. Most days it just seems easier to just be by myself, watch tv, or maybe eat a half a gallon of ice cream. Today I felt like I was at rock bottom, or at least close enough to warrant calling for help.  I called my friend Brian. It was a great call! LukeSign_18x24_Tag1_preview

Brian and have the same issue that we are dealing with. We were able to share our feelings, ideas, and inspirations. We supported each other and related to our similar unnecessary fears and trepidations. We were mutually supportive and each shared our realizations that our fear isn’t really real! Sharing is a powerful tool for transformation. I’m happy to say, IT WORKED!

Lastly, we each set up a plan of action to guide us toward our respective goals, desires, and dreams. We both put them in writing and shared them with each other. I also shared mine with a good friend/coach as well as my girlfriend. Sharing assists in making goals, dreams, and desires real. Brian and I as well as my friend/coach will hold each other accountable for completing our plans. We closed the call with a powerful prayer.

I was so energized I got out of bed. I was so distressed, I was ready for bed at 6:30 pm. After the call, I felt so energized I raced out of bed, out of the house to a lookout point a mile away to watch the sunset, and then off to do some grocery shopping. Calling a friend is indeed a great idea.

Now after 300 words what does that wonderful story have to do with real estate? I’m glad you may be wondering. If you aren’t sure to buy or not to buy. To sell or not to sell. To refinance, to fix up, to tear down, to take on or get rid of a roommate. Call a friend. You will be glad you did.

Diversity, Union, and Love

DisneyYesterday was one amazing day. All days are amazing, and what made yesterday extraordinary was the fact that I came face to face with people from many different, faiths, cultures and ethnic backgrounds. All that I could see, hear, and sense was that we are all the same. As Walt Disney said, “it’s a small world after all, it’s a small, small, small, small world!”

The first thing I did after breakfast was to live stream the service from the Agape International Spiritual Center. There was a guest speaker Panache Desai, Panache is a thought leader, author, and speaker who reminds us that we are all enough. Panache message of healing is so compelling he was interviewed by Oprah on Super Bowl Sunday. I was very moved by his sincerity, authenticity, delivery, and desire to share the message that we are all enough, and so much more. The title of the talk was, Aline, Attune, and Ascend, you can watch the service here:   LukeSign_18x24_Tag1_preview

For me, what makes the Agape congregation so extraordinary is the acceptance, diversity, and unity between them! Agape is about as diverse as it can get. You will find people from all walks of life, all colors, all ethnicities, straight, gay, young, and old people all attending Agape. As the founder, Rev. Dr. Michale Beckwith says, “We accept everybody.” You will find the following explanation of Agape, on the Agape website:  “A trans-denominational spiritual community open to all seekers in search of authentic spirituality, personal transformation and selfless service to humankind. Our aspiration is that every individual who is touched by the vibration of Agape is inspired to cultivate a heart of love as wide as the world.” The love in the Sanctuary at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills is always palpable.

My girlfriend came over around 10 a.m. and we were off to a celebration at a Buddist Temple in Chino Hills, Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. The people were all from a different religion and a different race than me. What we experienced was the same, love, unity and acceptance there is at Agape. It was amazing, we ate, we prayed, and were blessed by a monk who was, in my words defiantly prayed up. We both could feel his spirituality, love, and closeness with the Divine. They also fed us and a few hundred other guests a delicious Thai food style meal. Food can almost always bring people together.

But wait, we were not done yet, we drove just 2 1/2miles to a Hindu temple also in Chino Hills, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir The entire temple and surrounding campus is gorgeous, as you can see below.  The beauty of the entire place was only superseded by the beauty of the people! They were from a completely different religion, a different race of people, and a different culture than the Thai Temple, or the congregation of Agape. And it was and is all the same. We ate a wonderful Indian meal, we prayed and we were blessed. It was exactly the same as Hindu TempleAgape, and the Thai Temple there was only one this going on. Diversity, Union, and Love.

The point I’m making is the world and the people in it is so much all the same. It is a small world after all. Yes, there is a bit of a feeling of separation and isolation going on in the White House and a few who don’t see what my girlfriend and I saw yesterday. In reality, the appearance of separation is not real. This world and the people in it may look different, eat different foods, worship the Divine in a different way, and even speak a different language, and in reality, we are all the same, we are all truly one.

When looking for a place to live, may I suggest to Not limit yourselves to a neighborhood where the people look, talk, or pray the same as you. There is beauty, love, and harmony in diversity. We are all one people on this planet expressing ourselves and the Divine in unique and wonderful diverse ways. Don’t run from it, run to it and see, feel, and experience the love of God, the planet and the wonderful, awesome, extraordinary people you will encounter.

Now you may be going too far. What in the world does love have to do with real estate? How in the world can it affect my finding, buying, selling or living in my home? Hold on a moment and I’ll let you know what love has to do with it. First off, at least from my humble opinion, there is nothing more important than love and also having a place you can call home.LukeSign_18x24_Tag1_preview

Love in my belief, is the glue that holds this thing called life, the world, and the Universe together. Without it, we may not even be here. Think about it, literally without love we would not have ever been conceived. It is also my belief that love is what runs the world. In fact, Quantum Physics has proved that the way that we think about things has an effect on them. It has started to explain the before unexplainable invisible power of what has many names and I’m choosing to call it Love.

Now, if we have love, the home is really more of a home. If we have love, our transition to and from that home is done in an agreeable, amenable, reliable fashion. We can have the often referred to, win-win or even win-win-win transaction. We can live in harmony, companionship, and peace.

The song by Tina Turner asks, What’s Love Got to Do With It?  I say it’s, Everything!
